Glacé Artisan Ice Cream
My creative partners on Julian (Brent Anderson and Nathaniel Cooper) have a new project out called Glacé (pronounced “Glah-Say”), and it’s pretty great.
Obviously I’m a little biased. I actually started the project with them before leaving our shared employ at Bernstein-Rein Advertising to work as a senior designer for Design Ranch. I collaborated with them through color pallet, font and about 85% of the logo, but I really have to give them a huge tip-of-the-cap for really blowing it out to a complete brand.

One of the things we tried to do from the outset, and they expanded and integrated beautifully is create a sleek and simple brand that helps elevate and compliment the extremely high-quality of the product, while create pattern and color (and a softness to the custom typography) that taps into the elemental fun, pleasure and nostalgia that comes with a frozen treat.

All the choice of materials feels consistent and suitable, especially on the menu board and interior logo signage.

Brent did a great job of being fun and clever with the language and voice of the brand, without resorting to overly pun-y gags.

Head over to either Brent or Nathaniel’s portfolios to see a few more snaps of the campaign. Great job guys. I’m proud to call them both friends and colleagues.
